Bishop John Noonan will preside over the Consecration to Virginity of Isabella Vella on January 21 at Most Precious Blood Parish in Oviedo. The ceremony is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m.

Isabella Vella becomes the fourth woman in the Diocese of Orlando to be consecrated to virginity. A consecrated virgin is a woman dedicated by the Church to a life of perpetual virginity as a bride of Christ. Such individuals engage in penance, mercy work, apostolic activities, and prayer, tailored to their spiritual gifts and state of life.

Vella intends to devote her vocation to praying for priests and religious members while serving her community and diocese through her role as an occupational therapist.
