Diocese announces priest assignments for summer transitions

The diocese has announced several clergy assignments scheduled to take place in June and July. Reverend Emmanuel Adu Addai will transition from his roles at Genesis Hospital and Bishop Rosecrans High School in Zanesville to become Pastor of the Perry County Consortium, effective July 9, 2024.

Reverend Stephen Alcott, OP, currently serving as Pastor at St. Patrick Church in Columbus, will be assigned to service outside the diocese starting June 10, 2024. Reverend Todd Lehigh will move from his position as Pastor of the Perry County Consortium to Assistant Chaplain at St. Thomas More Newman Center and Hospital Chaplain in Columbus on July 9, 2024.

Reverend Theodore Machnik is set to retire from his role as Pastor of St. Joseph Church in Circleville but will continue service at Sacred Heart in Coshocton and St. Peter in Millersburg beginning July 1, 2024.

Reverend Paul Marich, OP, currently Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick Church in Columbus, will become its Pastor on June 10, 2024. Reverend Daniel W. Olvera is appointed as Pastor of St. Bernadette Parish in Lancaster and St. Joseph Church in Sugar Grove effective July 9, 2024.

Reverend Ramon Macoy Cruz Owera will take over as Pastor of St. Joseph Church in Circleville starting July 1, while continuing his administrative duties at other churches until July 8, 2024.

Reverend Tyron J. Tomson is set for graduate studies in Scripture in Rome starting July 9 after serving as Pastor of St. Bernadette Parish.

Reverend Antony Varghese, CFIC will transition from Parochial Vicar at St. Paul the Apostle Church to Administrator of two churches in Columbus effective July 9.

Among the Parochial Vicars' appointments: Reverend James B. Farnan returns from outside the Diocese to serve at St. Paul the Apostle Church; Reverend Jins Kuppakara Devasia continues his role with additional responsibilities; and Reverend Anish Thomas maintains his position with added residence duties—all effective on July 9.
