Each November, the Archdiocese of Newark gathers to honor its deceased clergy members. This year, the Memorial Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ. Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, will lead the service. All Catholics in the archdiocese are encouraged to attend.

Clergy planning to participate should RSVP to Graceann DelMauro via email.

In addition to the Memorial Mass, a free concert will be held on Cemetery Sunday, November 3. The event encourages visits to Catholic cemeteries as places of prayer and remembrance. The concert begins at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart and features Michael John Trotta's "Requiem," performed by The Cathedral Choir and others.

Anita Foley will deliver a pre-concert lecture at 2:20 p.m. Guests can inscribe names in a Book of Remembrance upon entering. The public is welcome without tickets; a free-will offering will be accepted.
