Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., D.D. Archbishop | Archdiocese of Newark website
At the conclusion of the third week of the Synod of Bishops in Rome, Cardinal Tobin shared his reflections on a key discussion topic: the places where Jesus is found, with a particular focus on parishes. He noted that while parishes remain central spaces for proclaiming the Good News, they have also "expanded" and evolved in response to today's changing world. Cardinal Tobin highlighted that synodality invites people to listen to one another, discern how they can witness Christ, and address the future of their parishes, archdioceses, and the Church in the United States.
