Spalding University has announced the introduction of a direct-admissions program for high school seniors. This initiative, revealed on September 25, aims to simplify the college application process by granting direct admission to students with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
The university joins over 100 other institutions, such as Bellarmine University, in efforts to "connect more students to postsecondary opportunities," according to a statement from Spalding University.
"Spalding University's direct admissions program will open a pathway for students by streamlining the application process, transforming the college narrative from one of scarcity to one of opportunity," said Lyndsey Bell, Spalding's director of admissions. She emphasized that through this program, Spalding is committed to promoting access, equity, and integrity in college admissions.
The program will be managed by Common App and will offer additional services like 24-hour support for all applicants within the system. For further details, interested parties can visit spalding.edu/admissions/direct-admissions.
