Franciscan University student, AmyLynn Miller, has written, directed, and composed the music for the upcoming musical production titled Life in Color: A New Musical. The musical will be staged at the Anathan Theatre on April 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:00 p.m., and on April 7 and 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Anathan Theater in Egan Hall.
According to Miller, the musical tells the story of a passionate young woman named Mona, who is determined to prove herself at art school despite her troubled past and heavy responsibilities. When Mona is accused of art fraud and faces the collapse of her dreams, her brother Charlie and roommate Kathleen must help her understand the importance of imperfection and failure in life.
The production features a vibrant ensemble of singers and dancers, offering a heartrending story that delves into the themes of self-definition and the significance of relationships and community. Tickets for the performance are priced at $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and seniors, and free of charge for Religious and children under 12.
For those interested in attending, tickets can be purchased at the door or ordered in advance by visiting the Life in Color: A New Musical website or contacting AmyLynn Miller via email at [email protected].
