Hildegard House, located at 114 Adams St., is actively seeking volunteers to serve as compassionate companions, offering end-of-life care for individuals without home or family support. According to a press release from Hildegard House, volunteers will dedicate a weekly five-hour shift to ensure residents receive care and dignity in their final moments, including access to hospice care.
In a statement, Hildegard House announced, "A training session for new volunteers will be held on March 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will also be offered on April 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m." Additionally, prospective volunteers are required to take a tour of Hildegard House before the training session.
