Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. Bishop | Archdiocese of Louisville
The Archdiocese of Louisville's Office of Multicultural Ministry is set to launch a seven-week training program called "Moving Towards Oneness" from March 5 through April 16. The program aims to enhance race relations by facilitating connections between parish groups from different cultural backgrounds.
According to the Office of Multicultural Ministry, the Moving Towards Oneness initiative seeks to foster understanding and build relationships across cultures by bringing together parishioners from predominantly white congregations and predominantly Black churches. The program will provide a platform for participants to get to know each other and engage in meaningful dialogue.
"The sessions will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Catholic Enrichment Center, located at 3146 West Broadway," stated a representative from the Archdiocese of Louisville's Office of Multicultural Ministry.
The Moving Towards Oneness training sessions are designed to promote open-mindedness and bridge the gap between different racial and cultural groups within the community. By encouraging parishioners to interact and learn from one another, the program aims to break down barriers and promote unity.
"We believe that by creating opportunities for parishioners to build relationships across cultures, we can contribute to improved race relations within our community," expressed the Office of Multicultural Ministry.
