The Archdiocese of Louisville Ministry Institute is offering a Lenten retreat on "Praying with the Icons of Lent and Easter" on March 2nd. The retreat will be led by Benedictine Sister Jeana Visel, adjunct assistant professor of spirituality at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. According to Sister Jeana Visel, "This retreat will provide an opportunity for participants to deepen their prayer and reflection during the Lenten season."

A Special Disciples of Jesus Mass will be celebrated on Feb. 18th at St. Margaret Mary Church. According to Tara Mattingly, organizer of the event, the Mass is intended for children with special needs and their families. Mattingly invites everyone to attend and says, "It will be a beautiful and inclusive celebration."

St. Agnes Church will be hosting a parish mission from Feb. 25th to Feb. 28th. Father Richard Burke will be leading the mission. Pam Slagle, a representative from St. Agnes Church, encourages everyone to attend, saying, "The mission will be a time of spiritual renewal and growth."

Catholic Charities of Louisville's Migration and Refugee Services program is in need of furniture for newly arrived refugees. They are specifically looking for coffee tables, couches, kitchen tables and chairs, dressers, washers and dryers, and end tables. According to Catholic Charities, donations can be scheduled for pickup in Jefferson County and Southern Indiana.

The Flaget Alumni Association will be holding their next meeting and luncheon on Feb. 14th. The speaker for the event will be Troy Hill, a former All-American baseball player at PRP and a four-year starter at the University of Louisville. The meeting will take place at the Elks Lodge #8, and lunch will be provided for a cost of $9. The association invites all alumni to attend.

The Louisville Chapter of the Benedictine Oblates will be meeting on Feb. 18th. Benedictine Brother Zachary Wilberding will be giving a presentation on a contemplative approach to the Lord's prayer. The public is welcome to join in reflection, vespers, and light refreshments.

The St. Serra Club of Louisville will be holding their next luncheon meeting on Feb. 19th. Father Paul Beach, rector of St. Martin of Tours, will celebrate noon Mass and lead a tour of the recently designated shrine. According to Chuck Lynch, a member of the club, reservations are required for the catered lunch, and the cost is $12 for members and $15 for others.

The St. Paul Altar Society is hosting its annual Hen Party on Feb. 19th. The event will take place in the school gym and will include bingo, food, dessert, and fellowship. All are invited to attend for a cost of $5.

St. Louis Bertrand Church's Rosary Altar Dessert Society is hosting a card party on Feb. 24th. The event will feature games and prizes, and the cost to attend is $5. Barbara Klump, a member of the society, encourages everyone to come and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

The Ladies of Good Shepherd will be hosting a Card Party for a Cause on Feb. 13th. The event will take place in Lehmann Hall and will include lunch. Half of the proceeds will benefit Good Shepherd Parish Renovations. Reservations are required to attend.

Catholic Charities of Louisville will be hosting its annual Rouler fundraiser on Feb. 13th. The event will feature live music, Cajun food, casino-style games, and a silent auction. Tickets are available for $85.

Nativity Academy at St. Boniface Church will be hosting a Fat Tuesday raffle fundraiser on Feb. 13th. The event will take place at Ten20 Brewery and will benefit Nativity Academy students.

The St. Margaret Mary Church's Spirituality Center is hosting a program called Nourish for Caregivers. The program is for those caring for an aging parent, spouse, or loved one. The next meeting, which will discuss "Family Dynamics: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly," will be held on Feb. 21st.

St. John Paul II Church is offering a Grief Recovery Method Support Group for those who have suffered the death of a loved one or other significant loss. The group meets on Thursdays at the Parish Life Center and is open to anyone who is interested.

St. Albert the Great Church is hosting the Hope and Healing Grief Group for those touched by the loss of a loved one to substance abuse. The group meets on the third Wednesday of the month and provides support and understanding.

St. Albert the Great Church is also offering a NAMI family support group for those caring for a person with mental illness. The group meets on the third Sunday of the month and provides a safe and supportive environment.

St. John Paul II Church is hosting Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meetings every Sunday. The meetings provide support and guidance for those who have loved ones struggling with addiction.

The Archdiocese of Louisville's Office of Worship is hosting a Communion Minister Update Session on Feb. 22nd. The session will take place at St. Patrick Church and is open to all Communion Ministers.

St. Francis Xavier Church is offering a Communion Minister Formation session on Feb. 27th. The session will provide training for those interested in becoming Communion Ministers.

St. Albert and St. Bernadette churches are offering a series of classes exploring challenges presented in Scripture. The classes will be held via Zoom on Thursdays and Fridays. To register, contact Lynnette LeGette.
