Catholic Charities of Louisville is gearing up for its annual Rouler fundraiser, set to take place on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 13. The event will be held at the Mellwood Art Center and promises to be an evening filled with live music, delicious Cajun food, an open bar, casino-style games, bingo, a silent auction, and raffles.
"It's a great way to kick off the last night to party before Lent starts," shared Shari Baughman, the development manager at Catholic Charities. The proceeds from Rouler will go directly towards supporting Catholic Charities' various programs, which benefit over 45,000 individuals in the Louisville area. These programs range from food pantries to anti-human trafficking initiatives, immigration services, and long-term care ombudsmen.
Baughman emphasized the importance of the event, stating, "This is a way to come together to raise money for 2024, to make sure that we can increase our impact on those most in need. All of this helps. This event is just one more way to give our mission the strength it needs to help people in our community."
Individual tickets for the Rouler fundraiser are priced at $85. Interested attendees can purchase their tickets online at https://one.bidpal.net/rouler24/welcome. For additional information, Rebecca Cottrell can be contacted at rcottrell@archlou.org.
This year's Rouler fundraiser promises to be a night of fun and philanthropy, allowing the community to come together and support the important work of Catholic Charities in the Louisville area.
