Cathedral of St. Raymond Catholic Parish - Joliet, IL issued the following announcement on Oct. 12
Nothing is impossible for the patron of lost causes, St. Jude. Jude was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. In Scripture he is called Thaddaeus and is also known as Jude Thaddaeus. In icons, St. Jude is often shown with tongues of fire around his head, representing the receiving of the Holy Spirit, along with the other apostles, on Pentecost. After the death of Jesus, Jude preached the Gospel and served the poor. He is believed to have been martyred in A.D. 65, and his feast day is Oct. 28. Call upon St. Jude today for an answer to what seems unanswerable in your life. “Saint Jude, Hope of the Hopeless, Pray for me.”
