More than 100 vehicles participated in the 2025 Caravana Guadalupana, a diocesan pilgrimage held in Central Florida to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patroness of the Americas. The event took place on December 7, with cars departing from ten parishes across the region. Many vehicles were decorated with images and statues of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexican flags, colorful garlands, and blankets featuring her image.
The participating parishes included Holy Cross, Blessed Trinity, St. Isaac Jogues, St. James Cathedral, St. John Vianney and Good Shepherd in Orlando; St. Thomas Aquinas in St. Cloud; St. Francis of Assisi in Apopka; and St. Catherine of Siena and Holy Redeemer in Kissimmee. The caravan concluded at St. John Vianney parish.
Matachines performed traditional dances as a form of prayer and praise during the event. Upon arrival at the host parish, each vehicle passed by the altar to receive a blessing before the Blessed Sacrament.
Participants prayed the Rosary along their route and shared expressions of faith throughout the journey.
Holy Redeemer Parish had 32 decorated vehicles participating—the largest group from any single church.
Despite heavy rain during the early celebration for the feast day on December 12, organizers said that faith remained strong among those attending.
The Diocese of Orlando was established in 1968 and encompasses Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia Counties. The Caravana Guadalupana continues to grow each year both in size and spiritual significance for local communities.
