The Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia’s football team is set to compete in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Boys’ 5A Championship. The team will face Bishop McDevitt High School from Harrisburg.
Before departing for the championship, the school community will hold a “Step-Out” celebration. Students and staff will gather as the team processes through the main building at 301 North Broad Street in Philadelphia on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 2:25 p.m.
The championship game is scheduled for Friday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. It will take place at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field in Mechanicsburg. The game will be broadcast on the Pennsylvania Cable Network and can be streamed at pcntv.com/sports/.
Roman Catholic enters the finals with an overall record of 11-3 this season. The team secured the District XII 5A Championship by defeating Olney High School on November 8. Last year, Roman Catholic also faced Bishop McDevitt in the PIAA finals, where Bishop McDevitt won in overtime.
