Students from Mercy Academy and Sacred Heart Academy participated in a service field trip on October 29, focusing on the theme of human dignity. The day began at the Little Way Pregnancy Resource Center, where Ellen Wickman, the executive director, gave a presentation to the group.

Afterward, students from Sacred Heart volunteered at the Father Jack Jones Food Pantry while those from Mercy assisted at the Sister Visitor Center Choice Food Pantry. Later in the day, both groups joined together at Catholic Charities’ Migration and Refugee Services’ Donation Room to help organize donations.

In addition to this event, students from Trinity High School and parish youth also took part in similar service days throughout October. These activities were organized by the Family and Life Ministries Office of the Archdiocese of Louisville as part of Respect Life Month.
