Parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will participate in the In-Pew Commitment Weekend for the Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) on October 11-12. The event encourages parishioners to support the CCA during Mass, emphasizing the local Church’s commitment to service and generosity.

The CCA is the largest annual fundraising initiative of the Archdiocese. It reaches one in five people each year across the five-county metropolitan area, supporting over 100 ministries and programs that offer food, shelter, education, and care. This year’s appeal has set a goal of raising $10 million under the theme “Giving Hope to All.”

In 2024, more than 37,000 contributions helped raise nearly $8.8 million for programs benefiting communities throughout the region. The CCA supports efforts in parishes, schools, neighborhoods, and families.

The appeal focuses on several key areas: Special Education; Social Services; Evangelization; Mission Parishes; and Infirmed and Retired Priests.
