The Catholic Diocese of Lincoln is launching a new video and study program aimed at deepening understanding of the Mass. The initiative, titled “The Mass,” features 12 videos produced by Bishop Robert Barron and his Word on Fire ministry.

Participants who opt in through Flocknote emails from the diocese will receive the videos twice weekly, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, over a six-week period from September 23 to October 30. The series covers topics such as the significance of the Mass, what makes a homily effective, and reflections on when God speaks.

“This is another part of our ongoing ‘Prepare & Proclaim: Enriching our Mass Experience’ diocesan program,” said Dennis Kellogg, director of communications for the diocese. “It’s another resource we have to grow in our faith and our love for the Mass.

“These videos are engaging and interesting. Bishop Barron does a really good job of explaining the Mass. Whether you attend daily or weekly, or if you haven’t been in a while, they will hopefully renew or grow your love for the Eucharist,” Kellogg said.

The program is intended to help individuals and families better understand and participate in the Mass. Registration is required to access the video series beginning September 23. Those interested can sign up at https://lincolndiocese.flocknote.com/massvideoseries.
