Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford will officially open its new Business Institute with a blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the school’s campus on Rittenhouse Road.
School leadership will be joined by members of the board, students, families, faculty, staff, and representatives from The Ambassador’s Fund for Catholic Education and The Connelly Foundation. These organizations have supported the creation of the institute.
The ceremony will include a blessing from Most Reverend Keith J. Chylinski, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia. Bishop Chylinski oversees Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
“PJP’s Business Institute will provide junior and senior students with hands-on experience designed to prepare them for success in business, finance, and entrepreneurship while in a cutting-edge learning environment.”
The institute centers on the Bloomberg for Education program. This initiative gives students access to data and tools used by financial professionals and allows them to earn Bloomberg Certification—a credential recognized globally in finance—making PJP the first high school in Pennsylvania to offer this opportunity.
Members of PJP’s leadership team recently attended the Bloomberg Academic Symposium in New York City as part of their preparation for launching this program.
In addition to coursework using Bloomberg resources, PJP will collaborate with local entrepreneurs and businesses such as SEI, a global provider of financial technology services based in Oaks. Students will participate in experiential learning opportunities including guest lectures and panel discussions with industry professionals.
Pope John Paul II High School opened in September 2010. The school focuses on forming Catholic students as practicing members of the Church while respecting cultural diversity within its student body. It aims to prepare students academically for participation in the global community.
