The Fairfax County School Board faced criticism from parents and citizens after it spent limited time addressing allegations that school officials facilitated abortions for students without parental consent. The board did not include the topic on its meeting agenda and allowed only two public comments on the issue.

Independent journalist Walter Curt first reported that a Centreville High School social worker, along with the principal, allegedly arranged for girls to visit abortion facilities, possibly using school funds. One student reportedly left an abortion facility while five months pregnant. Audio provided by a whistleblower teacher suggests that Fairfax County Public Schools officials may have tried to cover up these incidents over several years. Governor Glenn Youngkin has initiated a criminal investigation into the matter.

Emily Davis, vice president of communications for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and a Virginia high school parent, commented on recent legislative developments: "In January, Democrats in the General Assembly passed a resolution to amend the state constitution to allow all-trimester abortion, eliminate parental consent, end health protections for women and girls, and force taxpayers to fund abortion. To be placed on the ballot, the amendment must be approved by the General Assembly again after the November election."

Women Speak Out Virginia – 2025, affiliated with SBA Pro-Life America, organized a campaign this summer in which 100 field workers visited 150,000 homes in Richmond and Virginia Beach. The effort aimed to support Republican candidates seeking to maintain control of the House of Delegates and prevent an all-trimester abortion measure from reaching voters.

The organization has previously participated in state elections such as those in 2021 when Republicans gained control of both legislative chambers and statewide offices.
