Walsh University President Tim Collins has been named to The Catholic Herald’s 2025 List of U.S. Catholic Leaders. This recognition is given annually to individuals who are seen as upholding the values of Catholic education and making a positive impact in their communities.
According to Walsh University, Dr. Collins was selected for his leadership in advancing the university’s mission and for his broader influence on Catholic higher education. Since becoming president, Dr. Collins has focused on strengthening the institution’s core values and guiding it through initiatives that aim to improve academic quality, support student success, and reinforce its Catholic identity.
The Catholic Herald previously recognized Walsh University in its 2023–2024 Guide to Catholic Colleges and Universities. The publication featured Dr. Collins’s approach to faith-integrated education in an article titled Preparing Students for Their Whole Lives and included a separate spotlight on his leadership.
Dr. Collins also contributes to discussions about the future of Catholic higher education through his platform at CatholicHigherEd.com, where he writes about mission-centered leadership and the role of these institutions in developing leaders dedicated to serving others.
