Richard and Mary Brown Barry, members of St. Margaret Mary Church, are set to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 12. Mr. Barry retired from Bank One and the Archdiocese of Louisville, while Mrs. Barry is a retired speech/language pathologist for JCPS. The couple has two children and two grandchildren and will mark the occasion with a family dinner.
Dennis and Janet BeLew, who belong to St. Francis Xavier Church in Mount Washington, Kentucky, will also celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 12. Mr. BeLew is a retired roadway mechanic with LN/CSX Railroad and a U.S. Army veteran. Mrs. BeLew retired from the Bullitt County Health Department, and they have two children.
Julius “Bo” and Kathy Curran O’Brien from St. James Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 12 as well. Both Mr. O’Brien and Mrs. O’Brien are retired educators from Hardin County Schools after serving for 27 years each. They have two children and two grandchildren and plan to celebrate with family.
Michael “Mike” and Donna Foster Medley of St. Rose Church in Springfield, Kentucky celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on June 28. Mr. Medley is a retired HVAC technician and electrician after 40 years of service, while Mrs. Medley served as an administrative assistant for the Dominican Sisters of Peace for 47 years before retiring. They have three children and two grandchildren.
Joseph “Jodie” and Mary Jane Caldwell Miles from St. Augustine Church in Lebanon, Kentucky will mark their 65th wedding anniversary on July 16. Mr. Miles worked at GE Appliances for 37 years before retiring; Mrs. Miles is a homemaker by profession with nine children (one deceased), thirty grandchildren (two deceased), and thirty-three great-grandchildren.
James and Joyce Joseph Nelson of St Lawrence Church celebrated fifty years together on June nineteenth this year: Mr Nelson had spent thirty-two years working at Algood Foods followed by another two at Mother Cookies whereas his wife devoted thirty-one dedicated ones towards serving her own parish community there itself! Together they share one child whom they intend taking along aboard an upcoming cruise trip planned soon enough...
Finally Jack & Delene Lorsung Dentinger - both members belonging unto Saint John Paul II’s congregation - reached sixty whole wonderful married seasons back around late last month i.e., precisely dated somewhere nearer till twenty-sixth day itself perhaps? Now living life leisurely post-retirement alongside three kids plus seven grandkids too!
