Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre | Archdiocese of Louisville
After a seven-year break, the Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic Women’s Conference is set to return. A committee of 10 women from various parishes within the archdiocese has organized the event.
The conference, scheduled for November 8 at Holy Trinity Church, is open to women aged 16 and older. Tasha Villalobos Gordon, chair of the conference's committee, explained that it is intended for women from all stages of life, including high-schoolers and grandparents.
The theme for this year's conference is “Wonderfully Made,” inspired by Psalm 139. The aim is to help participants explore their identity as daughters of God across different life stages. Lisa Cotter, a Catholic speaker and author, will be the keynote speaker. The event will feature praise and worship sessions, eucharistic adoration, Mass, prayer ministry, confession opportunities, local Catholic vendors, and interactions with local ministries.
Leslie Rodriquez, communications chair for the conference, expressed hope that the event would ignite a deeper connection with Christ among attendees. She noted that it provides an opportunity for women to care for themselves amidst their service roles in families and communities.
Rodriguez also highlighted the chance for women across the archdiocese to meet and build community through this approachable one-off event.
Registration is available online with a fee of $50 covering lunch. High school and college students can attend for $40 while religious sisters are welcome free of charge. Nursing babies are allowed at the event.
