The U.S. Supreme Court has delivered a decision in the case of Mahmoud v. Taylor, affirming parents' rights to exempt their children from classroom instruction deemed inappropriate and sexually explicit. This ruling has been highlighted as a significant win for parental rights and religious freedom.

Terry Schilling, President of the American Principles Project (APP), commented on the decision, stating: "Today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the American family. Parents are the gatekeepers of their child’s education. When they send their kids off to school, they trust their kids will be educated, not indoctrinated, and at the very least, should be able to opt out of inappropriate classroom instruction. I am grateful the Supreme Court agrees. Their decision today ensures parents, not the government, manage their child’s education."
