The Catholic Diocese of Lincoln has announced a Jubilee Year summer giveaway as part of its celebration of the Church’s Jubilee Year. This initiative is aimed at leveraging the recent social media success achieved by the diocese and Bishop James Conley.

A video released by the diocese during the May 8 election of Pope Leo XIV garnered over 2 million views across various platforms. The diocese's YouTube channel has also surpassed 5,000 subscribers. As part of a broader outreach campaign, the giveaway encourages public participation in celebrating faith and community through support for social media channels. It seeks to connect more lay faithful within the Lincoln Diocese via popular platforms.

Participation in the giveaway is straightforward: individuals can gain entries by visiting the diocesan website or following the diocese on Facebook or Instagram. Additional entries are available by following Bishop James Conley on X, among other methods. Participants completing all entry methods receive a bonus of 20 extra entries.

The summer giveaway runs until July 31, with two winners selected randomly.

Corbin Hubbell, social media coordinator for the Diocese of Lincoln, emphasized that while recent successes are promising, their focus remains on outreach rather than analytics alone. "This is about more than numbers," Hubbell stated. "It’s about using every tool we have to bring the message of the Gospel and of Christ to more people—and they’re online."
