Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia

Mr. Richard Adamsky, a teacher at Nativity of Our Lord Parish School in Warminster, Bucks County, was arrested by the Warminster Police Department at his home. He is facing felony charges of possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communications device. The school administration was informed about his arrest and its circumstances for the first time this morning by law enforcement agents.

The school, parish, and Archdiocese had no prior indication of any alleged wrongdoing by Mr. Adamsky until they were notified of his arrest today. According to information from law enforcement, it is understood that these activities involved only Mr. Adamsky’s personal electronic devices, with no allegations that he physically harmed a minor.

Mr. Adamsky had up-to-date criminal background checks and child abuse clearances as part of his employment conditions. No complaints regarding inappropriate behavior with minors had been filed against him previously. He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this criminal matter.

"The Archdiocese is cooperating with law enforcement and remains fervently committed to preventing child abuse as well as protecting the children and young people entrusted to its care," said an official statement. "Child pornography is a scourge that must be eradicated."

For those wishing to report a violation of The Standards of Ministerial Behavior and Boundaries or an allegation of sexual abuse, contact can be made with the Archdiocesan Office for Investigations at 1-888-930-9010 or local law enforcement agencies.
