Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will lead a Mass of Thanksgiving for the election of Pope Leo XIV. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2025, at 12:05 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.

The faithful from the Church of Philadelphia are invited to attend the Mass, and priests are welcome to concelebrate. The Catholic Charities Appeal has made it possible for the Mass to be streamed live on several platforms, including the Archdiocesan Vimeo Channel, Archbishop Pérez’s Facebook page, and the Archdiocese’s Facebook page.
