The St. Meinrad Institute for Sacred Music, located in Indiana, is set to organize a workshop focusing on liturgical polyphonic music from May 21 to May 23. This event will showcase polyphonic compositions created by St. Meinrad monks, featuring a repertoire of nearly 200 pieces, none of which have been previously taught to the public.
Benedictine Father Tobias Colgan, a composer, together with Dr. Tyler Thress, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Mount Mary University, will lead the workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to engage deeply with this unique body of work during the three-day session.
The workshop has different pricing options that include accommodation and meals: $425 for a single room, $600 for a double, and $175 for commuters. Interested persons can find more information and register at www.saintmeinrad.org/news?story=15879.
