Detroit Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger extends an invitation to the community for his first Holy Week and Easter liturgies at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. This church is located at 9844 Woodward Avenue, between Chicago Boulevard and the Davison Freeway.

All liturgies will welcome attendees on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be available via livestreaming on the Cathedral's Facebook page. For alternative Mass options across southeast Michigan, attendees are directed to MassFinder.org.

In a special arrangement for those unable to attend in person, local media will air a pre-recorded Easter Mass led by Father Stephen Pullis at the Cathedral. Channel 7 (WXYZ) will broadcast at 5 a.m. on Easter Sunday, TV20 (WMYD) at 4 p.m., and Fox 2 (WJBK) at 11 a.m.

The Cathedral's Mass schedule begins on Palm Sunday, April 13, with a service at 11 a.m. where Archbishop Weisenburger will recount the events of Christ's entry into Jerusalem. On Holy Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m., the Mass of the Lord's Supper will include the symbolic washing of parishioners' feet by the Archbishop.

Good Friday, April 18, will see the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion at 1 p.m., featuring prayers and the Scriptural account of Christ's Passion. The Easter Vigil Mass will occur on Holy Saturday, April 19, at 9 p.m., incorporating the Blessing of the Fire and the initiation of new members into the Church.

The schedule culminates with Easter Mass at 11 a.m. on April 20, celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus.
