The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science at St. John's University is now open to applications for the 2025 Harold Jackson Scholarship. This scholarship focuses on the study of ocean marine insurance in London, England.

The scholarship is a legacy of Harold Jackson, the former President of Wm. H. McGee & Company, Inc. It includes round-trip travel to London, accommodation for up to two weeks, tuition and fees for the academic program chosen by the recipient, and a personal allowance for additional living expenses.

Applicants need to successfully complete the Associate in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM) 320 (or 121) examination, which is handled by The Institutes Knowledge Group. Additionally, a complete application along with a written report no longer than 1,000 words on a specified three-part topic must be submitted by June 2, 2025.

The Greenberg School was originally established as the Insurance Society of New York in 1901 and eventually became The College of Insurance. In 2001, it was integrated into St. John's University as part of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business. The university offers degrees in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. St. John's also provides various educational services globally through its Tobin Center for Executive Education. The school is known for its Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Library, which has an extensive insurance collection.

For applications or further details, interested parties should contact Maureen Furlong Weber, Director at St. John’s University, Greenberg School of Risk Management, by phone at 212-277-5111 or email at [email protected].
