Over 150 pro-life leaders from across the United States have urged Congress to halt taxpayer funding for the abortion industry. These leaders, representing organizations in all 50 states, sent a letter to congressional members advocating for an end to what they describe as "the flow of American tax dollars toward the abortion industry."

In previous years, reconciliation bills in 2015 and 2017 included measures aimed at cutting off federal funds to what the signatories refer to as "Big Abortion." The letter suggests that this year presents another opportunity for Congress to terminate financial support for an industry accused of harming women and unborn children while spending significant amounts on lobbying efforts.

According to their most recent annual report, Planned Parenthood is highlighted as having received nearly $700 million from taxpayers while performing almost 400,000 abortions within a single year.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, issued a statement asserting: "The evidence is clear – Big Abortion harms women and girls, destroys unborn babies’ lives and is a terrible investment for taxpayers."

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America describes itself as a network comprising over one million pro-life Americans committed to ending abortion through political advocacy and supporting pro-life legislation. The organization emphasizes its focus on promoting female leaders who are aligned with their cause.
