Deacon John J. Biedermann passed away on March 6, 2025, in Kalispell at the age of 88. Born on September 3, 1936, in Bakersfield, California, he was the son of Lawrence and Mabel (Jonas) Biedermann.

John had diverse interests including hunting big game and birds, fishing, camping, woodworking, leatherworking, painting and rockhounding. Together with Charlene they raised livestock on their farm in Squaw Valley.

His career included produce brokering which led him from Bakersfield to Nogales and then Sanger. He later ran his own business Sierra Nevada Marketing and operated "Biedermann’s Evergreen Tree Farm" from the late '70s through the '90s.

Ordained as a permanent deacon of the Catholic Church in 2004, John dedicated himself to prayer and service alongside Charlene. His faith inspired many who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Charlene; parents; grandson Bradley Biedermann; and several friends.

The family extends gratitude to Immanuel Living staff and residents for their care during John's stay there as well as Logan Health Hospice for their support. Thanks also go to those who prayed for John or visited him regularly.

As Deacon John would say: “May the Lord keep you happy, healthy, holy and joyful all the days of your life.”

A funeral mass took place on March 20 at Saint John Paul II Catholic Church in Bigfork. Friends can leave condolences at www.buffalohillfh.com where Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
