The Lansdale Catholic High School Girls’ Basketball Team is set to compete in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Girls’ 4A State Championship. The team will face Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School from South Philadelphia. This marks Lansdale Catholic's third appearance in four years at the state championship, having last won the title in 2023.
Before departing for the game, the team will be celebrated by the Lansdale Catholic community. Students and staff will gather to cheer on their classmates as they prepare for their match scheduled for Saturday, March 29, at noon at the Giant Center in Hershey.
The team has achieved an overall record of 23-5 this season. They secured their place in the finals by defeating North Catholic High School from Cranberry Township in the semifinals on March 22. This year is notable as it marks Head Coach Tom Lonergan’s first season with Lansdale Catholic.
For those unable to attend, the game will be broadcasted on the Pennsylvania Cable Network and can also be viewed online at pcntv.com/basketball/.
