Franciscan University of Steubenville's Anathan Theatre is set to present "The Miracle Worker" as its mainstage student production from April 4 to April 13. The play, written by William Gibson, will be performed at the Anathan Theatre located on the ground floor of Egan Hall and is open to the public.
Directed by theatre professor John Walker, "The Miracle Worker" tells the story of Helen Keller and her teacher Anne Sullivan. It explores their journey in overcoming barriers through patience, love, and perseverance.
Performances are scheduled for two consecutive weekends: Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5, at 7:00 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 p.m.; followed by Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m., with another matinee on Sunday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Clergy members, religious individuals, and children under the age of twelve can attend free of charge. Faculty and staff of Franciscan University will receive a fifty percent discount for the performance on April 4.
