Bishop John Noonan presided over the inauguration of Cristo Rey Orlando High School on February 26, 2025. During the ceremony, he emphasized the school's core values, stating, “Let us pray that we may uphold the core values of this endeavor: Created, chosen, cherished, connected, courageous, compassionate, cooperative, and crowned for we have hope and assurance in the promises of God for eternal life and glory in His presence.”
William Orosz expressed his emotions as he spoke at the event. “Today we open doors to opportunity, to hope and to a brighter future,” he said. He addressed future students by reaffirming the belief that supporters have in them. “Cristo Rey is about a promise, a promise to the students who walk through these halls, to families who dreamed the best for their children, and to this community,” Orosz added. He highlighted education as "the great equalizer" and mentioned the collective responsibility "to teach, to nurture, and to love these kids who are about to experience Cristo Rey School."
Amanda Livermore played a significant role in marking this occasion by cutting the ribbon as CEO and founding president. Following this ceremonial act, attendees including students and families were given a tour of the renovated building.
