Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez | Archdiocese of Philedelphia
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez is set to launch the 2025 Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) at a news conference. The CCA is recognized as the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s largest annual fundraising effort, supporting numerous organizations and ministries across the five-county area.
The event will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center located at 222 North 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA.
Archbishop Pérez will be accompanied by Mr. Ernest W. Russom III, President of the CCA Board of Directors. Representatives from various ministries benefiting from CCA will also attend. Among them are Ms. Katherine Baumgardner, Assistant Director for Catholic Housing and Community Services (CHCS), and Ms. Natalie Morales, Director of the Archdiocesan Office for Persons with Disabilities and the Deaf Apostolate. Both are expected to share remarks on how CCA impacts their work.
Performances by Star Harbor Senior Community Center’s choir and Norris Square Senior Community Center’s Grupo Alegria dance club are scheduled during the event. These community centers operate under CHCS, a ministry affiliated with Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese.
The news conference will be available for live streaming starting at 10:00 a.m., accessible via the Archdiocesan Vimeo Channel and Archbishop Pérez’s Facebook page.
