Trinity High School has announced that James "JT" Torra will take on the role of president starting July 1. Torra, who has been part of Trinity's community since 2005, is currently serving as vice president for advancement and director of admissions. He will replace Dr. Robert Mullen, who has been in the position since 2000 and plans to remain at the school as vice president of mission.

“JT is the right person at the right time for Trinity,” said Mike Paradis, chair of the Trinity High School Board. “His hands-on experience in serving as a teacher and leader of young men, along with his work as an innovative administrator and leader, makes him uniquely qualified to serve as Trinity’s next president.”

Joe Landenwich, chair of the Trinity High School Foundation Board, added that “JT’s personal and professional values align with Trinity’s inclusive and welcoming approach where students are encouraged to grow academically, spiritually and morally in a community of faith.”

Torra holds a bachelor's degree from Keene State College in New Hampshire and a master's degree from the University of Dayton. Additionally, he earned certificates from Villanova University and Cornell University.

Expressing gratitude for his new role, Torra stated: “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead Trinity High School and its esteemed tradition of helping young men reach their full potential.” He further mentioned that his experiences over two decades have prepared him well for this leadership position.

The selection process involved a seven-month national search conducted by various boards within the school community. Paradis praised Mullen's tenure saying he leaves Trinity “on the strongest footing possible academically, financially and operationally."

Founded in 1953, Trinity High School serves over 1,200 students today. Torra will be its sixth leader overall but only its third president since establishing this position in 1994.
