The Diocese of Columbus has announced a series of clergy assignments effective in the coming months. These changes involve several key positions within the diocese.

Reverend Michael Hartge will transition from Graduate Studies in Canon Law in Ottawa, Canada, to serve as Vicar General and Moderator of Mission Advancement. He will continue his role as Moderator of the Curia starting July 9, 2024.

Reverend William Hahn is set to move from his current position as Vicar for Clergy to become Vicar General and Director of Priestly Life and Vocations, also effective July 9, 2024.

Reverend Jan C. P. Sullivan will assume the role of Vicar Forane for Vicariate 6: Center South Columbus Deanery while continuing his duties as Rector at St. Joseph Cathedral and Holy Cross Church in Columbus, beginning on July 9, 2024.

Reverend Monsignor Stephan J. Moloney is transitioning from Vicar General to Vicar Forane for Vicariate 7: Northwest Columbus Deanery while maintaining his position as Pastor at St. Andrew Church in Columbus, with these changes taking effect on July 9, 2024.

Reverend Antonio Carvalho will be appointed Vicar Forane for Vicariate 8: North High/Northland Deanery while remaining Pastor at Our Lady of Guadalupe Star of the New Evangelization Church in Columbus starting July 9, 2024.

Effective August 1, 2024, Reverend Michael Hinterschied will move from Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph Cathedral and Holy Cross Church to discernment with the Congregation of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri in Cincinnati.

Reverend Seth Keller is slated to depart from his role as Parochial Vicar at St. Mary Church in Marion and Sacred Hearts Church Cardington for graduate studies in Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology in Rome, Italy on July 9, 2024.

The Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of St. Joseph has confirmed that Reverend Edmund Ditton O.P., previously serving outside the Diocese, will join as Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick Church in Columbus starting on July 22, 2024.

Reverend William Ferguson is moving from Parochial Vicar at St. Mary Church Delaware to become Chaplain at the St. John Paul II National Shrine in Washington D.C., effective July 9, 2024.

Reverend Robert Penhallurick is transferring from Pastor at St. Brendan the Navigator Church Hilliard to take on multiple roles including Pastor at St. Catharine Church Columbus; Director of the Respect Life Office; and Director of International Priest Personnel beginning July 9, 2024.

Finally, Reverend Paul J. Brandimarti will change roles from Parochial Vicar at both St. Vincent DePaul Church Mount Vernon and St Luke Church Danville to Administrator at St Timothy Church Columbus effective June10 ,2024 .
