Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. Bishop | Archdiocese of Louisville

The Archdiocese of Louisville has announced a series of "Safe Environment" training workshops scheduled for January. These sessions are mandatory for all church employees and volunteers who interact with children or youth, defined as individuals aged 18 and under, regardless of the duration of contact.

According to the archdiocese, the purpose of the "Safe Environment" training is to ensure that "children and youth who worship, study or participate in church-sponsored activities can do so in the safest and most secure setting possible."

The upcoming workshops will commence at 6:30 p.m. on specified dates. Details about these sessions are regularly updated on their website at www.archlou.org/safe.

It is important to note that children under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend these training sessions, and no child care services will be provided during this time.
