Catholic Charities of Louisville is actively seeking donations and volunteers to support refugee families that have been resettled, as well as those anticipated to arrive in the coming months. The organization is calling for household items necessary for furnishing apartments for these families. The specific needs include vacuum cleaners, rugs, sewing machines, dressers, kitchen tables and chairs, living room furniture, lamps, and bookshelves.

"We are committed to welcoming and assisting new refugees, and we need your help now more than ever," stated an announcement from the charities. "While it is unknown what will happen with the country's refugee resettlement program in the coming months and years, we anticipate change."

Items can be purchased from an Amazon wish list and sent directly to Catholic Charities. To view the list, visit https://tinyurl.com/2vkh9hzv. For those wishing to deliver donations personally, appointments can be made by contacting the office at donations@archlou.org.

In addition to material donations, Catholic Charities is also seeking volunteers. Interested individuals can learn more about volunteer opportunities by reaching out to Migration and Refugee Services at lcho@archlou.org.
