Hildegard House, located at 114 Adams St., is actively seeking volunteers to serve as compassionate companions. These volunteers will provide end-of-life care for individuals who lack a home or loved ones to care for them.

According to an announcement from Hildegard House, volunteers are expected to commit to a weekly five-hour shift. Their role is crucial in ensuring that residents can die with dignity and have access to hospice care.

A training session for new volunteers is scheduled for December 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those interested in volunteering can find more information by visiting hildegardhouse.org or contacting the volunteer coordinator at volunteers@hildegardhouse.org or 653-1468.
