Walking into St. Joseph Parish in Palm Bay, visitors are greeted by a sense of peace and calm. The newly renovated altar space features light blue paint with gold accents behind the Crucifix, drawing attention upward.
The renovation project, delayed due to the pandemic and rising construction costs, was completed just before Bishop John Noonan blessed it on November 2, 2024, during the Solemnity of All Souls. The project also includes new marble floors and wooden niches for statues of the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph.
After dedicating the altar with the Oil of Chrism, Bishop Noonan remarked, “On this altar we remember Christ is for all of us. … May your journey of faith be enriched by the beauty of your parish.”
Bishop Noonan also officially installed Missionary of the Precious Blood Father Frankline Rayappa as pastor, presenting him with “the keys of the Kingdom.”
