SBA Pro-Life America has issued a statement following the approval of Proposition 139 in Arizona. The organization expressed its concerns about the implications of the new amendment, which it describes as "pro-abortion."
Adam Schwend, Western Regional Director for SBA Pro-Life America, commented on the development: “We mourn the lives that will be lost under the pro-abortion amendment, Proposition 139.” He added that this constitutional change makes Arizona "far less free" and criticized its potential impact on parental consent and financial responsibilities related to abortions.
Schwend highlighted what he sees as an imbalance in campaign spending, stating, “The abortion industry was able to run a deceptive campaign devoid of the truth by outspending the pro-life side by a 26:1 ratio.”
Despite their disappointment with the outcome, SBA Pro-Life America acknowledged the efforts of local advocates. “We’re thankful for the bold voices and tireless efforts of the It Goes Too Far coalition in Arizona,” Schwend said. He praised their dedication to informing Arizonans about what they view as a radical amendment.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is known for its network comprising over one million pro-life supporters across the country. The organization focuses on ending abortion through political advocacy and supporting laws that align with their mission.
