Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly is organizing a retreat titled "The Joy of Forgiveness" on February 15-16. The event, open to both men and women, will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday and conclude with a noon lunch on Sunday.
Sandy Hoenig, a nationally certified counselor and experienced retreat leader, will conduct the sessions. Participants will learn about the essence of forgiveness, self-forgiveness, forgiving others, and overcoming emotional barriers to healing. The retreat includes activities such as a healing prayer service, Mass, Eucharistic adoration, and confession.
The retreat aims to explore forgiveness as a source of personal empowerment and healing. The venue offers 50 private rooms for comfort and privacy along with meals and accommodations. Financial assistance or parish sponsorships are available to ensure accessibility for all interested individuals.
