SBA Pro-Life America has issued a statement following the defeat of ballot measures in Florida, Nebraska, and South Dakota. The organization views these outcomes as victories for pro-life laws in these states.

"We celebrate the lives that will be saved with the defeat of pro-abortion ballot measures in Florida, Nebraska and South Dakota," said Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of SBA Pro-Life America. She credited voters for resisting efforts by figures such as Kamala Harris, George Soros, Gov. Pritzker, and others associated with the abortion industry to change existing laws.

Dannenfelser emphasized that "the pro-life states of Florida, Nebraska and South Dakota have disrupted abortion activists’ track record." She pointed to state leaders like Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Pete Ricketts, and Rep. Dusty Johnson as examples of effective pro-life advocacy.

The statement argued that when Republican leaders engage directly with extreme abortion ballot measures, they can successfully refute misinformation. "Republicans must be as devoted as DeSantis to explain how these measures allow abortion until birth and take away parental rights," she added.

In particular, Dannenfelser highlighted efforts by Gov. DeSantis to oppose Amendment 4 in Florida by traveling across the state to inform voters about its implications on parental consent and all-trimester abortion access. Sen. Pete Ricketts contributed leadership against an ACLU-backed amendment in Nebraska while Rep. Dusty Johnson actively campaigned against Amendment G in South Dakota.

She concluded that "if the playing field is evened by pro-life elected officials fighting back, life wins." The statement also noted efforts by state health departments to clarify exceptions for "life of the mother" situations which helped counter misinformation during campaigns.
