Hart and Hubbs couples celebrate milestone anniversaries

Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Hart, affiliated with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, are set to mark their 50th wedding anniversary on October 31. Mrs. Hart, formerly known as Betty Hobbs, concluded her career at Town Talk Manufacturing Company after dedicating 18 years of service. Mr. Hart retired from CSX Railroad following a tenure of 38 years. The Harts have six sons, four of whom are deceased, along with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In a similar celebration, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hubbs from St. Martha Church will commemorate their 60th wedding anniversary on the same date, October 31. Mrs. Hubbs, originally Mary Ann Kopp, is a retired Catholic school teacher. Mr. Hubbs served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 22 years and spent a year in Da Nang, Vietnam in 1967 before retiring from Brown-Forman after 35 years of service. The couple has five children, sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
