Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. Bishop | Archdiocese of Louisville

Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will celebrate the annual Red Mass at 5:30 p.m. on October 12 at the Cathedral of the Assumption, located at 433 S. Fifth St.

The Red Mass is a liturgical tradition that invokes the Holy Spirit upon those working in the field of law. This year's service will also mark the conclusion of the Catholic Bar Association’s 2024 conference and general assembly.

Following the mass, a ticketed banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Seelbach Hotel’s Grand Ballroom East. John H. Garvey, president emeritus of Catholic University of America, will deliver the St. Thomas More Keynote Lecture during this event.

Both the Red Mass and banquet are open to all legal professionals seeking to attend. For more information, visit https://catholicbar.org/.
