Archbishop Shelton Fabre has announced new pastoral appointments for four parishes, effective in September.

Rev. Brandon T. DeToma will become the pastor of St. Thomas Church and St. Monica Church in Bardstown, Kentucky, starting September 14. This move coincides with the end of his tenure at St. Bernard Church. Father DeToma, a Louisville native ordained on May 26, 2018, attended major seminary at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in Indiana and the Pontifical North American College in Rome. He has served as pastor of St. Bernard since June 21, 2023, and previously served at several other churches in Kentucky.

Rev. Justin Nelson Alphonse, C.P., from the Passionist community, will take over as pastor of St. Bernard Church on September 14. Born in Tamilnadu, India, Father Nelson professed religious vows on May 28, 1995, and was ordained on May 7, 2000. His previous roles include associate pastor and later pastor of Our Lady of Velankany in Tamil Nadu and director of prison ministry in Bangalore. In the United States, he has served as pastor of St. Agnes Church since January 1, 2020.

Rev. Bruno R. D’Souza, C.P., also from the Passionist community, will become the pastor of St. Agnes Church starting September 1. Born in Vasai, Maharashtra, India, Father D’Souza professed his first religious vows on May 28, 2000, and was ordained on December 4, 2004. He completed post-graduate studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles from 2015 to 2019 with a Master's Degree in Pastoral Theology.

Additionally:

- Rev. Thomas Reagan, C.P.M., a member of the Fathers of Mercy community will serve as associate pastor at St. Helen Church in Glasgow and Our Lady of the Caves Church in Horse Cave beginning September.

- Rev James Walling,C.P.M., also from Fathers of Mercy community will be chaplain for Holy Angels Academy starting September.
