The St. Serra Club of Louisville will celebrate the feast day of St. Junipero Serra on July 1 with a 10 a.m. Mass and installation of officers at St. John Paul II Church, located at 3539 Goldsmith Lane. This will be followed by an 11:30 a.m. lunch at the Golden Corral, 4032 Taylorsville Road. The outgoing and incoming presidents will address attendees.

The lunch costs $12 for members and $15 for others. Non-members wishing to attend should contact Chuck Lynch at 442-9302.

The next Archdiocesan First Saturday Devotion is scheduled for July 6 at 9 a.m. at St. Ignatius Martyr Church, 1818 Rangeland Road. Father Martin A. Linebach, vicar of vocations, will celebrate Mass starting at 9 a.m., followed by the devotion led by Deacon Joseph Calvert. Confessions will be heard during the devotion, which includes adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, music by Sarah Nettleton Cleary, and consecrations to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Children and crying babies are welcome.

Registration is open for the 73rd annual Living Rosary on Oct. 6 at 3 p.m., taking place at St. Michael Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive. Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will preside over the event, which is open to all attendees. Youth in grades one through twelve are encouraged to participate; parents can register their children online at www.MaryLouisville.com.

The Louisville Cursillo Movement is hosting a men’s Cursillo weekend from July 11-14 at the Flaget Center, located at 1935 Lewiston Drive, accepting registrants until June 30. Participants must be aged 18 or older to attend this retreat costing $275, which covers all food, snacks, materials, and sleeping arrangements for the weekend. Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality in Mount Saint Francis, Indiana is offering two retreats in August; further details are available by calling the retreat center at 812-923-8817.

Father Matthew Millay will speak about his vocation journey during the St. Serra Club luncheon meeting on July 15 at Golden Corral (4032 Taylorsville Road) starting at 11:30 a.m.

St. John Center seeks donations of bottled water, new or gently used washcloths and towels, and disposable ponchos for services provided to the homeless community. Donations can be delivered to their center (700 E Muhammad Ali Blvd.) between 10 a.m.-3 p.m., daily except Wednesdays when they close an hour earlier or via Amazon using their wish list link https://a.co/dJQb2rP . The Hope and Healing Grief Group meets every third Wednesday from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m., providing support for those who have lost loved ones due to substance abuse issues in Sacred Heart Center of St Albert The Great Church (1395 Girard Drive).
