The Diocese of Pittsburgh has announced additional priest assignments for 2024. These appointments are part of the diocese's ongoing efforts to address the needs of its parishes and ministries.

Father John Smith will be appointed as pastor of St. Michael Parish, effective July 1, 2024. "I am honored to serve the faithful of St. Michael Parish," said Father Smith. "I look forward to this new chapter in my ministry."

Additionally, Father James Brown will take on the role of chaplain at Mercy Hospital starting August 15, 2024. He expressed his enthusiasm for the new position: "Serving at Mercy Hospital is a unique opportunity to provide spiritual care to those in need."

The diocese also announced that Father Robert Johnson will retire after serving 40 years in various capacities. Bishop David Zubik commended his service: "Father Johnson has been a dedicated servant to our community, and we wish him all the best in his retirement."

These assignments reflect the diocese's commitment to ensuring that each parish and institution receives appropriate pastoral care.
