The Ursuline Sisters of Louisville have announced a Taizé prayer session on May 13 at 7 p.m. in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel, located at 3115 Lexington Road. The event does not require registration. For further details, individuals can contact 896-2781 or email lfeldkamp@ursulineslou.org.

On May 19, a Special Disciples of Jesus Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, at 3 p.m. Families and friends with special needs are invited to this shortened Mass designed for children. The Louisville Ursuline Associate Community is set to host a “Come and See” event on May 18 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., also at the Ursuline Motherhouse. A NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) family support group meets monthly on the third Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., providing an open and supportive environment for those caring for a person with mental illness. This includes anxiety, depression, addiction, suicidal ideation or other diagnoses.

St. Albert the Great Church hosts two groups; the Hope and Healing Grief Group for those affected by loss due to substance abuse meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., while GRASP (Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing), another grief support group specifically for those who have lost someone to addiction or substance use disorder, meets at Holy Trinity Church on the second Monday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program of Catholic Charities is currently seeking volunteers to visit residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities. The program's mission is to advocate for improved quality of life and resolve care concerns for those living in these facilities.

On May 14, the Ladies of Good Shepherd Church will host their next Card Party for a Cause in Lehmann Hall, with half of the proceeds benefiting the Good Shepherd Benevolence Fund. St. John Center, which provides services to the homeless, is in need of new or gently used washcloths and towels and disposable ponchos.

Holy Cross High School will hold a reunion weekend celebrating all classes ending in “4” from May 31 to June 2. The weekend will include classes that graduated from Angela Merici and Bishop David high schools.

Mercy Academy’s class of 1960 is invited to a luncheon at King Fish Restaurant on May 14. Father Joe Rankin will hold Bible study on Tuesdays at St. Rita Church.

Nazareth Home's Community Education Series will host its next event on May 22, featuring Ann Marie Holas-Dryps presenting “Know Your Numbers for Heart Attack Prevention.”

Women of the Church, a Catholic leadership forum, will host a regional gathering for women from May 31-June 2 at St. Meinrad Archabbey Guest House in St. Meinrad, Ind.

Family Renewal Project will present “Introduction to Theology of the Body,” intended for individuals over 18, as a four-part series at two locations.

The Adult Christian Enrichment Program of St. Bernadette church is exploring challenges presented in Scripture relating to faith, the church and the world today via Zoom.
