The Society of St. Vincent de Paul National Board of Directors recently visited Baton Rouge, where they met with the local Vincentian family. During their visit, the board members were impressed by the programs that serve neighbors in need in the area.
Bishop Michael G. Duca took the time to meet with the national board and expressed his gratitude for the support the board provides to the society in the United States.
Kim Boudreaux, the diocesan council president, and Michael Acaldo, the president/CEO of the Baton Rouge SVDP Society, gave the board a tour of the main charitable campus. The board members were appreciative of the impact that the local SVDP Society is having in the community. They also showed excitement about the upcoming construction of a new chapel in the heart of the campus.
The visit was an opportunity for the national board to witness firsthand the dedication and impact of the Baton Rouge SVDP Society in serving those in need.
